Recent Volunteer Activity

Our wonderful volunteers have just built a new wooden bench, located near the shores of Jack’s Lake.  Hand built from timber reclaimed from a fallen tree, carefully planed and sanded, it has been fixed to some old and unsightly posts which were the last remains of a bench that just fell apart through old age last year.  As we move into spring and summer, it will once again be a quiet spot to enjoy.

The volunteers also installed a new “sleeper bridge” over one of the many streams that cross Hadley Common, to make it easier to walk the paths and explore.  For pictures of this and other recent activity, including removed a burnt-out motorbike, have a look at the Volunteers page.
